The spray bars are activated when the vehicle entering the wash bay breaks a light beam, making this a truly vehicle driver operated cleaning system.

| The UCW 350-18 (Under Chassis Wash) comprises a hot-dip galvanized fabricated steel framework. This framework is 3000mm wide and installed in the existing wash bay floor and fitted with two 50 mm diameter nozzle pipes that have 8 fixed and 2 adjustable nozzles.
Cover plates on top allows the vehicle to drive over the spray bars. A 18kW Vertical, multistage medium-pressure centrifugal in inline-version pump is then connected to a 2500L holding tank.
This unit operates at an adjustable pressure of 15 Bar (215 PSI) with a water consumption rate of 350 L/min.

The switch cabinet includes a selector switch for manual, stop & automatic operation. A separate press button console is installed next to the chassis wash and a light barrier complete with transmitter and receiver mounted on the wash bay walls 2.3 m high activates the supply pump to the spray bars. This will automatically switch the UCW 350-18 unit ON and OFF.
The system also has a sensor switch mounted inside the holding tank for dry run protection of the pump ensuring optimal service life for the pump.
